This place is awesome for breakfast with a great selection from their menu. Upon arriving, the manager was very welcoming and sat us at our table. We ordered their poached Eggs Benedict (salmon option), egg cheese pastrami sandwich along with a strawberry milk shake and OJ which were all incredibly yummy. Appreciated the team’s attention to detail and friendliness. Our food was served hot which was great for the cold weather. Highly recommend anyone considering dining at this place… and yes, we gave a good tip when paying our bill of course ! Thank you for a lovely dining experience in NYC :) Highly recommend.
My boyfriend found this place on TikTok and shared it with me, and I’m really glad he did. They offer mocktails, which I appreciated since I’m not drinking for the month of January—very considerate of him for thinking of me. I had the Cucumber Fresh mocktail and it was delicious. My brother ordered the Bee-Hind mocktail, which was on the sweeter side but not overly sweet. My boyfriend had the Redfreshment—it was a bit bitter, but I actually liked that since I enjoy bitter flavors. For food, I ordered the Southern chicken and waffles, and that was the best decision. I loved that the chicken was in strips. My only complaint was the service: the waiters gave us plenty of space, which is nice, but they didn’t really check in on us as often as I would’ve liked. The atmosphere was comfy and cute. Overall, I’d give this restaurant a 4/5.
Carnegie Diner was such a great brunch experience. The service was excellent from start to finish, and Vasilis was especially amazing and so attentive, kind, and on top of everything without making it feel rushed. The buttermilk pancakes were incredibly fluffy and honestly some of the best I’ve had. They even treated us to traditional Greek desserts like portokalopita, which was such a thoughtful and delicious surprise. Everything about it was just really well done. Definitely coming back. Thanks for having us!
